Relax and follow your dreams

SpeedFerry, first registered in April 2000, was once the website for my family and friends to share lots of pictures, and advice on the best channel crossing deals, plus experience of inexpensive European B&B’s, campsites and self-catering establishments.  In fact anything suited to a family with young school age children and a limited budget.

From 2004 until 2008 there was a channel crossing operator called SpeedFerries Ltd.  Whilst they were in existence many of their customers became confused by the similarity between the name painted on the side of their ferry and that of my website.  Anyway, just to clarify any remaining confusion, I am pleased to confirm there was never any association between their business and the owner of this site.

Now, eleven years later, the then school age children have left home (sort of) and are preoccupied making the best of things for their own young families, so I’m using this site to highlight for our children, grandchildren and those like them, some of the options that will, I hope, offer the best value for money.
